Fabricator

Summary of Duties

Fabricators are responsible for operating some equipment which may include shears, notchers, saws, drills, press brakes, and other fabricating machines. Fabricators also sort parts at the laser, perform DA sanding, and carry out bench work.


Skill level & Responsibilities.

Fabricator I

  • DA sand parts
  • Sort parts at laser
  • Operate shears, notchers, saws, and drills
  • Perform bench work (such as cutting hinges)
  • Manufacture parts from drawings/diagrams
  • Measure and inspect parts
Fabricator II
  • Perform all Fabricator I duties
  • Set up and operate press brakes
  • Set up and operate at least one other metal fabricating machine (including NC and CNC machines)
Fabricator III
  • Perform all Fabricator II duties
  • Set up and operate press brakes
  • Set up and operate at least two other metal fabricating machines (including NC and CNC machines)
  • Work under minimal supervision
 

Hours

Monday-Friday

7:00AM-3:30PM

or

2:00PM-10:30PM
